Chromatic Scale

The chromatic scale uses all 12 pitch classes in every octave. It is not used like a diatonic scale, but comes up in theoretical contexts. Even when musicians play all 12 notes, the music usually still sounds rooted in a diatonic context, with the extra notes acting as passing or color tones.
